View the Job logView the Job log
From the job log you can view recently-completed jobs. This list includes cron jobs run automatically, cron jobs run manually, and single run jobs run manually.
To view the job log, navigate to Administrator > Jobs > Job log.
You can configure advanced settings relating to job log on the Administrator > System settings > Job tab.
Job log fields
Field | Description |
---|---|
Name |
Name of the job. Note that this is the technical identifier for the job, so it may not exactly match the job name you selected from the Create new Job dropdown. |
Start | Time the job began. |
Duration (hours) |
Length of time in format H:MM:SS that it took the job to finish. If this value is 0:00:00 then the job is currently running and hasn’t yet finished. |
User | The user that ran the job. Generally this is root or sync_user. |
Status |
Possible values:
We recommend that for jobs where the Status is Errors or Fatal errors to view which records were and were not updated. |
Using the log entry details area
To view more details about the status of a job from the Job log:
Click the name of the job you want to view log entries for.
A detailed list is displayed with the results of each run.
Click the Start column for the run you want to view details for.
The log entry detail area is expanded.
You can also click in the Success, Warnings, Errors or Fatal errors columns for the run to show only the log details with that status.
