Dear valued Pure customers,
We hope this message finds you well. We are writing to inform you of an urgent update regarding our latest software release 5.30.1.
Background: Recently, we deployed a fix to address a specific bug that was impacting review content merging for a limited set of customers. However, it has come to our attention that this fix inadvertently introduced a significant issue affecting Research Output merging for all customers. The bug is listed as a known issue KI-000097.
Immediate Action: To promptly restore full merge functionality, we have decided to revert the recent bug fix through an emergency release – 5.30.1-2. Installation of this emergency release will be performed on:
- Monday 29th the file is scheduled to be released for download
- Wednesday 31st at 14:00 CEST for APAC/AU/China
- Wednesday 31st at 20:00 CEST for EU
- Thursday 1st at 08:00 CEST for US.
This action will resolve the Research Output merge issue and ensure that you can continue merging content without interruption.
Reintroduced Issue: Please be aware that this reversion will reintroduce the original, smaller, review content merge bug that was previously fixed. The smaller bug affects a limited set of customers and while it is not critical, we recognize that it may cause some inconvenience.
Next Steps: Our development team is prioritizing a comprehensive solution that will address both the critical issue and the smaller bug without compromising functionality. We are working diligently to ensure that this fix will be thoroughly tested and deployed as swiftly as possible. The fix for the content review bug will be deployed in our next minor release, 5.30.2, scheduled for release in the first week of August (see release schedule).
