How Can We Help?
Scopus EIDs issueScopus EIDs issue
We would like to provide an update regarding Known Issue no. 169, which involves the potential deletion of content and its relation to changing EIDs in Scopus. A fix is in the works.
First and foremost, we want to express our sincere understanding of the concern this issue may have caused. We fully recognize that the integrity and consistency of content are vital — not just for individual users, but for trust in the broader data systems and workflows that rely on this information.
We also understand the concern and additional workload this issue may have caused for research offices and library teams. The teams at Scopus have identified the root cause of the EID changes and is actively implementing measures to prevent any further occurrences. While it appears that only a tiny fraction of the millions of records in Scopus have been affected, we treat any level of impact with the seriousness it deserves.
A fix to halt further EID changes is expected to be in place within 2 weeks. We anticipate full normalization of data quality in inbound flows around mid-May. Please be assured that we are fully committed to resolving any issues and are working closely with Scopus to restore and maintain the high standard of data quality that you expect.
