User Profile SettingsUser Profile Settings

The User profile settings allow you to change the interface language and adjust message, e-mail, and tasks settings. You can also add a Trusted User that can take over your account while you are away.

Language settings

If your local Pure supports multiple languages, you can switch between supported user interface languages here. Example: If your Pure supports both Danish and English, you can choose to set Pure user interface to either language.

Default submission language

Sets the language of content added to Pure.

Example: If Default submission language is set to Danish, then all editor fields are set to Danish language and an English translation can then be added if needed. If set to English, then a Danish translation can be added. So if a researcher prefers to use Pure in Danish but mainly adds content written in English then Language should be set to Danish and Default submission language set to English.

Roles

Lists all roles that are assigned to a given user. For researchers, it will typically be: Personal user (Staff).

Message settings

You can decide which Pure messages you want to receive and when.

For Personal users, messages in Pure are usually generated when:

  • the user's relation to a piece of content changes (the user is added, removed etc.)
  • a comment is added to the user's content
  • an editorial task is required of the user (content approval/validation)

Note: Tasks are only required if a content type has Workflow assigned to it.

E-mail settings

You can select which Pure messages you would like to get notified about via e-mail.

By default, whenever an action triggers a message, it is forwarded to your e-mail right away. You can disable instant notifications by selecting Emails are never sent from the dropdown next to each message on the list.
When the messages notify you of Editorial tasks, you can either fully enable/disable them, or choose how often you would like to be notified (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly).

Note: If you disable email notifications, you will have to log into Pure to view your messages.

Task settings

You can decide which tasks will show in the Task pane.

Trusted users

You can allow another user to access and manage your account by adding them as your Trusted User. This can be convenient when you are on vacation, or when you need support with your account.
