Pure Client Certification ProgramPure Client Certification Program
As the name suggests, this program is tailored to Pure Administrators who are relatively new to Pure (less than one year) - either as new Pure client accounts entirely or, if you work within a research institution that has used Pure for some time, as someone new to the role of a Pure Administrator. The course is, however, open to all those who have access to Pure Support.
Course content
The course consist of 5 modules:
| 1: Getting started with Pure |
This is an introduction to Pure itself, with a high level overview and basic terminology. By completing this module, you will:

| 2: Supporting researchers with Pure |
Gives an overview of how you can support your researchers by giving insight into Pure from their perspective. By completing this module, you will:

| 3: Adding and managing data in Pure |
An in-depth explanation of how to add content, manage workflow, import sources etc. By completing this module, you will:

| 4: Managing your master data in Pure |
Maintaining a consistent level of data quality is beneficial for a number of reasons. This course will provide insight into how to address this task in different ways. By completing this module, you will know:

| 5: Dashboards in Pure |
Dashboards can provide key data/metrics about your institution. Here you can learn how to utilize Dashboards to build the overview you need. By completing this module, you will be able to:

Participation and duration
The course is self-paced, but it is generally advised to complete one module per week, which will also allow you to engage and discuss with the other participants along the way. Each week a new module will be released, so it takes a minimum of 5 weeks to complete the course. Extra time will be added at the end, however, so you have time to catch up if you fall behind.
Expect to spend 1-1.5 hours of study per week/module to complete the course. ‘Check your knowledge’ options and full module quizzes will be provided along the way. You will need to achieve 80 per cent correct answers on quizzes to receive a Pure Foundations Certified diploma at the end of the course. Quizzes can be retaken an unlimited number of times. During the course, members of the Pure Support Team will be available on the platform to provide assistance and guidance.
Although we can cater to a relatively large number of participants, there is a cap on the number of seats, so please bear in mind:
- Only use the expression of interest form if you are committed to completing the content and ideally also have the time to engage a bit with your fellow students during the course.
- If you would like to do the course but now is not a good time, please know that we currently repeat the course 3 times a year. So, the chance will come again.
As mentioned above, access to the course is only available for Pure Administrators with current access to Pure Support - so please do not share the expression of interest link with anybody that does currently not have access to our Pure Support and/or the location of this message (Pure Client Space).
If you are an experienced Pure Admin, the course may not be as useful for you. But we plan to create further courses with more specialized/advanced content in future - so stay tuned! The latest announcement can be found in the related articles to the right.
