Profile Link Service Additional Terms and Conditions
If you have purchased Pure Profile Linking Services:
- You may provide us with the metadata necessary for us to provide the ScopusID Profile Linking Service for the agreed number of Profiles (“Agreed Profile Allowance”) in one instance, captured in a data file created within the Subscribed Products (“PLS Data File”).
- Data should be provided as an excel or CSV file with the following mandatory details: First Name, Last Name, Affiliation (University). Additional person attributes, if optionally provided, can be provided which may help the service teams more accurately match to the correct publication profile, such as: department, gender, e-mail address, link to CV etc.
- Upon receipt of the PLS Data File, we will create, implement and make accessible in your Pure solution, Profiles extracted from;
- If you are subscribed to Scopus®, the Scopus® database, at no additional charge, provided that the Subscriber continues to maintain its Scopus subscription. If you terminate your Scopus subscription, you will instead need to pay a separate Pure Data Extraction Fee, per the below. Use of abstracts is subject to the terms and conditions of use as set forth in Subscriber’s Scopus subscription.
- If you are not subscribed to Scopus®, a subscription to the Scopus database in Pure Data Extraction. If you have subscribed to Pure Scopus Data Extraction, please note that you and your Authorized Users are allowed to use the Scopus data provided by Elsevier, through Scopus Data Extraction, within the Subscribed Products, for purposes of meeting your institutions objectives or other non-corporate use only, and always in accordance with the terms and conditions of your Pure agreement.
- If you have subscribed to recurring Profile Linking Services, you may add, delete or substitute Manually Refined Profiles to reflect current affiliations by providing to us via the Subscribed Products the updated metadata in the PLS Data File at any time upon mutual agreement of the parties in writing, not to exceed three (3) times per year of the term. We will process such changes at no additional charge provided that the total number of researchers is within the Agreed Profile Allowance and the total number of researchers added or substituted in any twelve (12) month period constitutes less than ten percent (10%) of the Agreed Profile Allowance.
- If you have subscribed to recurring Profile Linking Services, the Profiles will further be automatically updated based on the assigned ScopusauthorID with data extracted from the Scopus database on a recurring basis. Updates from the Scopus database may be temporarily suspended during those times when Elsevier is implementing Subscriber requested changes to the list of Profiles in the PLS Data File.
