Datasets can be configured and adapted to meet local needs. This is done from Administrator > Datasets > Configuration.
Default publisher
Datasets need a Publisher assing, as a mandatory field. By setting a default Publisher you can make sure this is filled from the start.
Configure which roles are allowed to create content
This section allows you to limit content creation to specified roles. By default it is set to Everybody, so everyone can create a Dataset. Other options are:
Roles | Description |
---|---|
Nobody | Datasets can only be created from an external source. |
Administrators and editors | All roles related to Datasets can create. |
Administrators | Only Administrator of datasets and Administrator can create Datasets |
In addition it can be toggled if Datasets are
Modifiable by associated persons
Deletable by associated persons
Upload of datasets
Allow users to upload files associated with a dataset:
Max file size in MB; allows you to set a size limit if Enable file upload on template is selected. The Dataset content type can be configured to allow large file uploads, with reliable upload of files up to 20GB in ~60mins using Firefox and Chrome. Setting the size to 0 equals no limit
Show 'Legal/Ethical' constraints (Please fill out)
Allow users to define legal and ethical constraints for the datasets, such as data protection, ethical approval and commercial constraints.
Portal contact email address
Enable portal contact email address
Access to Dataset
Show or hide Access to Dataset option.
Datasets imported from sources such as Mendeley or Data Monitor will show the Access to Dataset option regardless of this setting
Show roles
Toggle to Show roles in the short render. Roles are the roles added for each Person in the Dataset.
Funding information import settings
Funding information includes:
- Funding details such as funder organization names and acronyms, and funding numbers
When enabled, users and automated jobs will be able to import funding information.
Saving
Remember to save the settings after reconfiguration!
