Export to SciValExport to SciVal

If you have set up the SciVal integration it is possible to export Organisations and Persons to SciVal.
When using export the information is harvested by SciVal through the webservice. Because of this only Organisations and Persons where Visibility is Public are exported to SciVal.

Follow the steps below to initiate an export:

Check your SciVal Integration

  • Go to Administrator > Integrations > SciVal Access and confirm your SciVal access is enabled:
  • If it is not, then toggle it on and fill out SciVal Access Credentials and SciVal Organisation Export.
    • You get your username, Secret key and SciVal Institution ID from SciVal support.
  • When filled out, you can check the connection.
    • Click Check institution ID to make sure it is correct.
  • Under Users with SciVal access you need to choose, which Users should be able to Export:

    • If you select Users with SciVal access role", then only Users with the role "Access to SciVal" will have the "Send to SciVal"-button.
    • If you choose "All users", then all who can access the content type will be able to "Send to SciVal" or "Analyse Persons in SciVal". E.g. Editor of Organisation/Persons, Administrator of Persons/Organisations.
  • Click save.

After enabling the integration an API key and a System user with username 'SciVal_WS_Access' is created. This user is used by SciVal to access the webservice when exporting organisational structure. The user is only used by SciVal in case your webservice is configured to require basic authentication. It does not need to have any roles attached.
Existing Organisational units in SciVal will always be overwritten with every new export from Pure.
