How Can We Help?
How Do Internal Person Names Appear on Research OutputsHow Do Internal Person Names Appear on Research Outputs
What
There are a few variations on how the names of an internal person are presented on Research outputs. This is intended behaviour.
How
When importing a Research output from an import source, Pure uses the author name listed on the research output in the source, and the HR first name/ last name appears in parentheses.
When creating a Research output manually, however, the Default Publishing Name is used, and the HR first name/last name is presented in parentheses after the default publishing name.
Note: users can always change the name displayed on Research output upon its creation, or by using the Edit functionality next to the author name on the Research output.
The table below presents how different name variants are used in Pure:

Publishing name | Known as Name | First name | Last name | Name as presented in the file | Name shown on the Pure Portal |
