As academic staff you can be a supervisor for one or more students at your institution. The list of students and their student thesises are found in your Person profile and can be shown on the Pure Portal as well.
Being a supervisor in Pure does not correspond to having a Role for additional tasks. A supervisor relation is for information and report purpose only.
A supervisor relation is done from the student profile where the academic is selected as supervisor. It is a common scenario that this information is added via synchronisation of data from external sources using the Configurable supervisor synchronisation job.
When this relation is created, there are different ways of accessing that information:
- When you login, you can see this information in the My supervision heading from the frontpage:
- When you edit your Person profile, you can see the information here:
Supervisors on Student thesis
As supervisor you can be added to a Student thesis as well. In that case, it can be displayed as below, when you click on the title of the thesis from the overview page:
