What are the recommendations in regards to Hero Image size, format, height and width on Pure Portal?

How

• You can add a Hero Image on the front page of the Portal (from Pure 5.18.0), and the Research Units (Organisational Units) pages (from 5.19.0).
• Note that the height is not the same for the one on the front page and those for the Research Unit pages.

Hero Image on Front Page:

• This is what our portal team recommends (also stated in release notes 5.18.0):
• Since the hero image has a fixed height of 470px we would advice you to use these values:
  • Height: 470px
  • Width: 1920px
• Please also take a look at the file size of the image. A big file size of multiple megabytes will increase the loading time, so maintaining a low file size is definitely advised.

Hero Image on Research Units (organisational units) pages:

• Since the hero image has a fixed height of 300 pixels, we advise a size of:
• Height: 300 px Width: 1920 px
• The image layout is designed to be responsive, so you will notice the dimensions will shift somewhat according to the size of the screen available.
• Note that large files could add noticeably to the page load time (Release notes 5.19)
