How can Scopus Author IDs be added to Pure in bulk?
How
Below is a list of ways Scopus Author IDs can be added to Pure besides adding them manually:
- A Person who has been through the Profile Refinement Service (PRS) will get a Scopus Author ID attached
- The Match Scopus IDs for Persons job uses Scopus to check Scopus Author IDs in Pure and provide options to add or remove IDs if necessary (see the release notes for 5.21.0)
- The Scopus Author ID Import job will look for persons with an ORCID and add their Scopus Author ID, if it exists
- The SciVal Scopus Author ID Import job works with the SciVal integration (see Export to SciVal); if a person has been exported to SciVal and matched to a profile in SciVal, this job will bring back the Scopus Author ID
- The Person ID Import job imports IDs of any type defined in a CSV file; the ID is added to the person's list of IDs with the source defined in the CSV file (see the release notes for 5.7.0)
- The Bulk Change IDs on Content job uses the Pure ID or UUID on a Person to assign a Scopus ID provided in an Excel file (see Bulk Change IDs on Content Job)
When importing Research outputs from Scopus, Pure does not populate any Scopus Author IDs on internal Persons. If the import creates a new External Person, however, then the Scopus Author ID will be populated on that External Person. See Take Advantage of the Person Profile.
