How Can We Help?
Duplicate Additional Source IDsDuplicate Additional Source IDs
What
There are duplicates in the list of sources for Additional Source ID found under External Publication IDs in the Research output Editor window.
The root cause of this is often imported data from e.g. BULK import or from RIS/BibTex import. The sources in the list shows all types that are in use in Pure and it does not consider upper/lower case as the same source.
How
To get rid of the duplicates you'll have to find all records that uses the version you do not wish to keep.
- Then update all the records to the other spelling method or remove the ID entirely.
- When last version of a incorrect source is removed from the content, then the Additional Source menu will be updated and the incorrect source removed.
Note: It is not possible to remove default values. So ensure to remove the other version.
The defaults are:
- WOS
- Scopus
- EMBASE
- PubMed
- Mendeley
- SciVal
- ORCID
- Jisc
