Edit Imported DatasetsEdit Imported Datasets

What

You can get Datasets into Pure by manually adding them either through "+Add content" or Administrator > Bulk import > Dataset.
You can also enable Data Monitor under Administrator > Datasets > Data Monitor to get candidates or to automatically populate Pure.

If you use Data Monitor to populate Pure you might not be able to edit the Datasets in Pure.

Before Pure 5.19.0:

  • It is not possible to manually edit the metadata of imported Datasets.
    • This is because the Data Monitor integration works like a continuous synchronisation which locks the fields.

From Pure 5.19.0:

  • It is possible to configure manually edits to the metadata of imported Datasets.
    • To enable manual edits go to Administrator > Dataset > Data Monitor > Toggle "Data Monitor Synchronization" off and click "Save":

Notice: If you afterwards re-enable the synchronization of Datasets from Data Monitor, manual changes will be overwritten.
