How Can We Help?
How to Get Multiple Scopus Author IDs in PureHow to Get Multiple Scopus Author IDs in Pure
What
How are Scopus Author IDs added to Pure (i.e. when you want to know how to add multiple Scopus IDs or how multiple Scopus IDs are added in Pure)?
How
There are multiple ways that Scopus Author IDs are added into Pure besides adding them manually:
- A Person who has been through PRS will get a Scopus Author ID attached
- Scopus Author ID Import Job will look for persons with an ORCID and find the Scopus Author ID - if it exists.
- If you export a person set to SciVal and match it to a profile in SciVal Pure will bring back the Author ID (see Export to SciVal for more information)
- "Person ID Import" job will import IDs defined in a CSV file; the ID is added to the person's list of IDs with the source defined in the CSV file
- "Bulk Change IDs on content" job can use the ID or UUID on a person and connect a Scopus ID through an XLS upload, please see Bulk Change IDs on Content Job for more details.
Note: the "Person ID Import Job" was named the "External Person ID Import" but we have since changed the name, but the function is still described for you in the 5.7.0 release notes.
Note:, From 5.13.1, when importing publications from Scopus, we do not populate any Scopus Author IDs on internal persons. The only scenario where we populate Scopus Author IDs on persons through a Scopus Import, is, if the import creates a new External person, then the Scopus Author ID will be populated on that person. More information can be obtained on Pure Academy here: Take Advantage of the Person Profile
