How Can We Help?
Jisc Router and Getting Data Into PureJisc Router and Getting Data Into Pure
What
The Jisc Publications Router provides a way to receive notifications from publishers whenever a publication with their affiliation has been added or updated. By bypassing indexing services such as Scopus or Web of Science, the Jisc Router speeds up the import of relevant content into Pure. The service is only open to participating Jisc institutions in the UK.
How
- Jisc is configured as an import source and is set up under Administrator > Research Output > Import Sources
Note: It requires account ID and API key. Read more about this in Jisc Account ID and API key - Before Pure Configuration - Once the source is configured the a manual run of the job must be initiated, or a restart of Pure.
Note: The job is not shown in the Cron Job list, but job logs are stored here Administrator > job logs and here Administrator > Research Output > Import Sources > JISC.- This job handles both Import candidates and Available updates
- The job is self-scheduled and will run everyday somewhere between 6AM and 8AM
Note: If the last run was less than 25 hours ago, then the job will not run. - For updates it only goes through content that Jisc provides updates for
- The Import candidates can be found in Editor > Research Output > Organisations with import candidates
- It is not possible to see in the Audit if an import candidate or update is found. And if the import or update is handled, the log will show it as the User that handled the Import candidate or update
