What

It is possible to setup a rule which only will allow Research outputs with the publication status of Published to be moved forward in the workflow to "For approval" or "For validation". For the remaining publication states, like Accepted/In press or E-pub ahead of print, only the workflow step of "Entry in progress" is allowed.

How

• Go to Administrator > System settings > Research Output model > Restrict research output workflow based on current publication status:
  
• When enabled, only Research outputs with the publication status Published can be moved all the way to the "Validated" workflow step.
