Update Current Publication Status JobUpdate Current Publication Status Job

What

Pure has a job named "Update Current Publication Status Job". What does it do, any why do we have it?

How

This job looks at research outputs and mark and updates their publications statuses as current if needed. The current status is marked with this label:

The job runs through all research outputs and looks at all the publication dates, and from this it defines which publication date and status is now the current date. Thus, if a research output in Pure has multiple dates, it will, once a day, check if one of these dates has passed and hence mark this new date and status with Current.

This job only looks at existing data in Pure, so it does not pull in data from other sources.
The job is scheduled to run once a day by default.

Note:
A note on the publication status and dates fields: Besides manually adding publication status and dates, these fields can also have data added (or modified) by the "Available update job" and the "Scopus publication import/update job", and QABO jobs.
