Web of Science: new Journals API
In this release we continue to expand on Pure’s integration with Web of Science by adding a new integration with the Journals API, to automatically import journal-level metrics on research output.
The following journal-level metrics can now be automatically imported to Pure:
- Total Cites
- Journal Impact Factor
- Impact Factor without Journal Self Cites
- 5-year impact factor
- Immediacy index
- Citable Items
- Cited Half-Life
- Citing Half-Life
- Eigenfactor score
- Article influence score
- % Articles in Citable Items
- Average Journal Impact Factor Percentile
- Normalized Eigenfactor
- Category metrics:
- Rank
- Quartile
- Percentile
- (Edition)

To select which metrics will be automatically imported from WoS go to: Administrator > Metrics > Web of Science Journal metrics When the job is enabled and a metric is selected, existing values of that metric will be deleted from Pure and new journal-level metrics (for current and past years) will automatically be imported. |

Requirements
This feature requires an active subscription to the Journal API. To enquire about this (and other) subscriptions to Web of Science please reach out to WoS (https://developer.clarivate.com/apis/wos) and follow instructions found in the “Subscription and Access” section.
WoS Journal metrics are currently only available in the relevant editors. They will be made available, together with additional Web of Science metrics, in reporting and the Pure Portal in the coming releases.

Request Tracking (Web of Science)
As we add more integrations and import sources to Pure we continue to expand the new Request Tracking by adding new sources and APIs. In release 5.26.1 we have added the Incites API and the Journals API to the Web of Science request tracking pages.
