1. Pure Community Module
Update to Synchronisation of person records
We would like to advise our community module customers of a change made in v5.27.1 that affects how person records are synchronised. This is the result of issues arising from a prior update in the 5.25.2 version of Pure.
From this version, the person synchronisation has been updated to resolve an issue related to how data is handled where there are multiple affiliations across different institutions for persons. In previous releases, the synchronisation made a choice of which source record was primary based on the most recent updates to that record. This resulted in some data errors and removal of profiles from the Pure Community Portals where the persons affected became 'former'. The person synchronisation has now been updated to correct this and is able to handle organisation affiliations from both the primary and secondary sources and keeping them up to date and marked as synchronized.
2. Pure Portal
Adjusting Collaboration Map focus
It is now possible to decide the focus of the collaboration map between the Global view and the US states and territories view. This setting is available for the homepage, organisations, and people. If a US institution has overwhelmingly domestic collaborations, a US map would be more useful for the site visitors of such an institution. We are also monitoring customer feedback closely to understand the appetite for more such configurations to be added for other regions (e.g. EU, South America, APAC, etc).
Please note, that the map settings can be different for each of the above, i.e., Person A has a global map view enabled, Person B has a US map view.
