1.1. Copy / Paste Search update
Copy/Paste search functionality has been updated in order to provide more accurate results. The following changes have been made to the process:
- A change to the process of how the supplied text is matched in the fingerprint engine. Now the text is fingerprinted against all of the available thesauri (up to 10 thesauri). The system then conducts a search in Pure for each of concepts extracted from the various thesauri.
- After searching in Pure, all the thesauri where no profiles where found in Pure are removed, eliminating “empty” thesauri from the search results.
- The fingerprint engine then ranks all 10 thesauri used in the search with respect to the supplied text. This ranking is used to select the initial result displayed to the user.
The results from these changes are the display of more accurate results, and corresponding concepts. The visitor also no longer has to change domains/thesauri in order to manipulate the results, as all available thesauri have been matched against, and results displayed.
A visitor still has the ability to remove concepts from the search results. The concepts are visible in the section above the search results, and can be expanded.
To remove concepts, simply click on the (x) next to the concept that you wish to remove from the search results.
