1. Pure Portal
1.1. Fingerprinting
With the February release (5.8.0) of Pure a bug was unfortunately introduced that affected the fingerprints of publications that does not have an ASJC code assigned. This will typically be publications manually entered, loaded via the standard XML import format or imported from other sources than Scopus, while most publications imported from Scopus or via Profile Refinement Service is not affected. In turn this also effected the aggregated fingerprints for those profiles including these publications. The bug added the concepts "Document" and "Text" from the thesauri Social Science to most of these publications with a high weighting which in return resulted in correct concepts with a lower weighting got pushed out of the fingerprint. The consequence of this was aggregated fingerprints that did not correctly represent profiles, especially in the areas of Arts and Humanities or other areas not widely covered by Scopus.
This have been corrected for the 5.8.2 release and as a result of this all fingerprints containing the concepts "Document" or "Text" from the Social Science thesauri that does not have an ASJC code will be re-fingerprinted. The refingerprinting will happen automatically by a job running in Pure. To spread the load the job have been configured to run at different time for each Pure installation between 0 and 7 days after Pure 5.8.2 is installed. For customers with Profile Refinement Service the update will happen at the scheduled weekly update from Scopus.
