We are pleased to announce that version 5.5.1 (4.24.1) of Pure is now released.
Always read through the release notes before installing or upgrading to a new version of Pure.

Pay attention to the Upgrade Notes - failing to adhere to these may result in loss of functionality.

Administration module

1. ORCID integration

Affected Bases: All

 Roles affected: Personal users,Administrator, Editor of Persons, Administrator of Persons

Feature purpose: Following on from customer feedback on the 5.5 / 4.24 release which included the introduction of the facility to export content to ORCID, we have re-introduced functionality that enables users to input an existing ORCID ID on the Person record when the institution does not have an ORCID membership.

Feature description:

  • Where the institution does not have an ORCID membership, users can now (again) input an existing ORCID ID on the Person record

2. Finland : TENK CV template improvements

Roles affected: All roles with the ability to create and edit CVs

Feature purpose: Improvements to the TENK CV template functionality, in response to user feedback.

Feature description:

  • Improvements include:
    • Organisation names and addresses are provided for Education and degrees awarded
    • Field of Study is included for Education and degrees awarded
    • External organisation names are provided for cited activities (e.g. in the Teaching awards, Awards, prizes and honours, and Other academic merits sections)
    • Outputs are now listed appropriately in the 'Selected research outputs' sub-section of the Scientific and societal impact of research section, when exported to Word
    • The Positions of trust in society and other societal merits section is now appropriately limited to only include relevant Activity types
