OAI Roles Mapping

Pure is able to remap person roles to relacodes in the MARC21 format (available from 5.2.2)

The mapping in done on each inherited variant of the MODS rendering format, e.g. oai_dc, mods, nl_didl)

A person role on a publication in Pure consists of a classification, i.e. for the publication type Conference Contribution an editor can be represented by the classification /dk/atira/pure/researchoutput/roles/contributiontoconference/editor, the classifications may vary for each customer and therefore we have a general solution that can map any role classification on each publication type to an arbitrary relacode in the MARC21 format.

The mapping for the above could look like this:

Some of the mappings are superfluous. Notice that aut (Author in MARC21) is mapped several times just for completion. Mapping on the level of the metadata format, ensures that all otherwise unmapped roles are defaulting to the role specified here. The same goes for mapping a role on the content level (Research Output). The selected mapping is always to most specific one, so in the example above the used mapping is either the mapping for Author or Editor, when rendering a Contribution to confererence.

Once the mapping is saved it is immediately in effect.
