What

When customizing your portal homepage banner there is a setting for 'Search string OR external URL destination for banner link' (under Administrator > Pure Portal > Portal > 'Styling and layout' tab > 'Homepage banner'). This field can support a specific search string and/ or external link.

How

Under 'Homepage banner' this setting for 'Search string OR external URL destination for banner link' supports, both:

• Specific search queries: for example: Coronavirus OR "COVID-19" OR "Corona virus" OR "2019-nCoV"
• URLs: this can be an external url or a link to another part of your portal (e.g. https://elsevierpure.com/en/publications/?nofollow=true&format=&publicationYear=2021)

The homepage banner (as pictured below) will then be hyperlinked and redirect to the search and/or url provided in this setting.
