Pure Core: Administration
Left-side menu improvements
The new left-side menu is now more compact and more configurable. The new compact form is more readable and occupies less space - making it easier to quickly navigate between content types and underlying filters. Lists of system generated and custom filters for each content type are now fully configurable, with renaming and reordering options for custom filters and reordering for system generated filters. The new left-side menu needs to be enabled (Administrator > Support > New features) for the filter reordering and renaming functionality to be available.

Pure Core: Integrations
With this release, we have added several new functionalities to our DataCite integration:
Available Updates from online sources expanded to Dataset
This functionality can be used to ensure the quality of Dataset records in Pure by highlighting differences in metadata between the data in Pure and DataCite. It can also help ensure that you always have the metadata in Pure related to the most current version of a Dataset, in cases where multiple versions of the same record exist.
The functionality reuses the same logic as implemented for Available updates from online sources.
When running the "Available updates for online sources" job, you may see many suggested updates for DOIs. This happens because your Pure system may have a DOI linked to a specific version of a Dataset, while the Available update suggests updating to the most current version of that DOI. This ensures you continue receiving updates for the latest version of the Dataset.
By default this functionality is enabled if you have added DataCite as an import source. If you would like to disable it, you can do so by navigating to: Administration > Dataset > Available updates configuration. Then deselect DataCite under the heading Sources for available updates, and save the changes. Afterward, the job Available updates from online sources will remove found updates.
Free text search field
When manually searching for Dataset records to import, we have introduced a free text search field. This allows you to search across multiple fields in DataCite for more flexible and comprehensive results.
Author collaboration support
In version 5.33.0 we added support for Author Collaborations. This is now also supported in the DataCite integration
Enhanced DSpace Connector Now Supporting DSpace v8 and v9
In this release, we have upgraded the existing DSpace connector to support the latest versions of DSpace, specifically versions 8 and 9. This update ensures continued compatibility with the evolving DSpace platform while maintaining all existing functionalities. Researchers and administrators can continue to export key content types from Pure—namely Research Outputs, Datasets, and Student Theses—directly to DSpace. The primary data transferred during export is metadata, ensuring accurate and comprehensive records in DSpace. Additionally, there is the capability to export associated files along with the metadata, which are then stored within DSpace for easy access and preservation.
