Email Notifications to Own UserEmail Notifications to Own User

What

A User can set up different notifications to be sent on email. They can choose if it is sent instantly or in a digest version.
When you make changes that is part of these notification rules, you'll not get a mail if you are the one making the change.

Why

  • Pure has a logic that prevents it from genereting emails to a user, if the change performed to trigger the email is done by the same user.
    • Here's an example: If you share a Funding opportunity with the same user as you are logged in with, then no mail will be triggered.
  • This means that if you want to test email notifications, you should have two different users for this. One that is doing the changes and one to receive the emails.
  • Things to be aware of:
    • Pure does not send emails to users that has not yet logged in.
    • There might be a Force Recipient setting (especially in a test environment) that will redirect emails.
