Export to Excel "Unable to Locate Projection" ErrorsExport to Excel "Unable to Locate Projection" Errors

What

As Editors or Administrators you can download a list in Excel format of any content you have access to in List mode. However some times you will experience certain types of errors. Below are listed some examples.

Stacktrace
Invalid fields. One or more of the configuration elements are no longer available in the corresponding report configuration. You should remove or replace the following elements:
Unable to locate projection with ID=‘equipmentReportSupport.acquisitionDate’
Unable to locate projection with ID=‘equipmentReportSupport.documents’

Stacktrace
Invalid fields. One or more of the configuration elements are no longer available in the corresponding report configuration. You should remove or replace the following elements:
Unable to locate projection with ID='personReportSupport.acceptedDuplicate'

How

  • This is unfortunately what happens from time to time when we change the underlying data model. The field that was previously on the piece of content, and configured in the Export to excel has been removed from that content, and therefore, it cannot be used any longer.
    • The configuration should just be updated, by removing the properties that no longer exists. If the properties have been renamed, then the configuration should be updated to point to the new properties.
    • You updated the configuration by going to Administrator > Export to Excel > and select the content type for which the error occurs.
      • Use the arrows and plus/minus sign to re-arrange and add/remove elements to the list.
