In Master data > Classification schemes you'll find the different Classification schemes used. If you open a classification scheme and click Add or Edit under Classifications, you'll see fields for URI Term and Description:

The maximum lengths are:

• URI= 1024
• Term= 255
• Description= 1024

Note: That it might not benefit the users to use the full length because of how it will fit to the specific part in the UI.
