Classification/Structured Keyword Volume LimitsClassification/Structured Keyword Volume Limits

Classification schemes can hold a number of values, but depending on which Pure version you are using the number of alllowed values will differ.

The limits are as follows:

  • Pre 5.29.0: No limit
  • 5.29 - 5.30: Limit of 500
  • 5.31+ : Limit of 8000

In this example from Pure 5.29.0, where the scheme can have less than or equal to 500 values, you will get this warning when attempting to exceed the limit. This simply means that an attempt was made to save the scheme with 1474 entries but only up to 500 are allowed: (0-500).

Warning when exceeding 500 entries pre 5.31 Pure

Prior to 5.29.0 there was no 500-limit, so if you already had a classification scheme that exceeded 500 values, we will only allow modifications which do not increase the number of values further. If you upgrade to Pure 5.31or above, the limit will increase to 8000.
