Metrics on Pure Portal - Unique IdentifiersMetrics on Pure Portal - Unique Identifiers

What

Research outputs can be associated with a number of metrics (article level), which can be seen in Pure itself or on the Pure Portal
These are the metrics:

  • PlumX
  • Altmetrics donuts
  • Web of Science (WoS) citations
  • Scival citations
  • Scopus citations
  • Google citations from Google Scholar

How

To keep the metrics updated identifiers are needed to fetch the metrics from their sources. Below is listed these identifiers:

  • PlumX
    • Pure portal: only use DOI - if no DOI or DOI is broken the plumX metrics will not be fetched and shown on portal.
    • Backend Pure: fetches PlumX metrics using DOI or Scopus ID.
  • Altmetrics on Pure portal
    • only use DOI - if no DOI or DOI is broken the Altmetrics will not be fetched and shown on portal.
  • Web of Science citations on Pure Portal
    • Unique Identifier needed = WOS UT
    • Note, WoS citations cannot be shown on Portal due to restricted permissions and rights by Web of Science owner Clarivate (same goes for Webservice). But you can have WoS citations in Pure backend and do reporting on WoS citations.
  • Scival / Scopus citations
    • Scopus IDs on Research outputs
  • Google citations (Google Scholar) on Pure Portal
    • Pure portal cannot show Google Scholar citations. It is only possible to add it to the backend (a manually process).
