DataCite: Limiting search results by repositoryDataCite: Limiting search results by repository

Sometimes, you may want to import Datasets from DataCite exclusively from specific repositories, such as your institution’s local repository like Zenodo or Figshare. This page provides guidance on how to restrict imports to selected repositories and helps you find the correct repository codes to use in the configuration.

Setup limitation on repository

To setup limitation on repository, navigate to Administration > Datasets > DataCite > Repository

In the field Repository add the Repository Code. Multiple codes can be added, one code at a time.

When saving the configuration, all existing import candidates associated with Persons and Organisations will be removed. New candidates will be identified the next time the “Search for Import Candidates” job runs. This ensures that import candidates align with the repository restrictions you have set.

Locate Repository code

In order for Pure to limit to data from a specific repository, we rely on the data we get from DataCite. DataCite is sending us repository information in a code. This code needs to be added to the Repository field. In order to locate the repository code, here is a step-by-step guide:

Go to DataCite Commons

Navigate to Repositories

Search for the repository of interest and click on the name of it.

In the left side column, under “Filter works” - Press Search without typing in anything.

In the URL, locate the code.

In this case it is borq

Insert the Code into Administration > Datasets > DataCite > Repository

You can insert multiple codes by repeating the steps above.
