Duplicate Content from Different SourcesDuplicate Content from Different Sources

What

You can import content from online sources manually. You do this in Add Content > Import from online source. When doing so, Pure will use two ways to identify potential or existing duplicates.
If duplicates exist a message will show. It can be one of the following:

  • "Publication is already imported"
  • "similar title already exists"

A similar title already exists:

Publication is already imported:

Why

  • When searching on title other content with similar title is found in Pure. It might not be from the same source. Therefore the text states "A similar title already exist".
  • If it is found in the same source it will show the message 'Publication is already imported as it matches on the ID".
  • When searching on ID other content in Pure can be uniquely identified and if the source is the same the text states "Publication is already imported".
