How Can We Help?
Duplicate check for Research outputs on manual importDuplicate check for Research outputs on manual import
You can import Research outputs from online sources manually, but if you try and import one that may or do already exist, Pure will alert you in different ways. This will help you prevent creating duplicates.
You can import from Add Content button and then Import from online source. When doing so, Pure will use two ways to identify potential or existing duplicates.
If (potential) duplicates exist a message will show. It can be one of the following:
- "Similar title already exists"
- “Publication is already imported”
Similar title already exists
Pure suggest that Research outputs with a similar title may already exist. That may be perfectly fine, but it is an alert to make you double check that you are not about to import a duplicate of already existing content.
Publication is already imported
This message will show if Research output already exist. In this example the content already exist. This is checked against a source ID of the content. So if the content you are about to import has the same source ID as already existing content, you will see this message. You can not import it again. If you insist on importing this, you must delete the already existing content with the same ID and then redo the import.
