Adding Person Source Ids in Pure (Master List vs. Sync)Adding Person Source Ids in Pure (Master List vs. Sync)
What
If you want to add multiple person source/type IDs into Pure, this article describes how this is handled via the Master list or via Synchronisation. How many of these customized ids can each method handle?
How
Note before reading the below: these IDs are part of the classification scheme: /dk/atira/pure/person/personsources | "Different types of personsources for persons". The Master list refers to these as "client ids" and the synchronization refers to these as "type id".
Master list
Only 3 client IDs are supported via the master list import (Client_ID1, Client_ID2, and Client_ID3) which would be defined on the persons tab and then the classification would be defined on the classification tab:
-
Person Tab:
-
Classification Tab:
There are improvements to the master list to handle more than 3 ids- please review IdeaExchange.
Configurable Person Synchronisation:
The synchronisation can handle multiple "type" IDs through the XML:
<personIds> <v3:id type="employee" id="person1">person1</v3:id> </personIds>
Desired "types" should be added to the classification scheme in Pure prior to the import:
- Classification Scheme: "Different types of personsources for persons"
- URI: /dk/atira/pure/person/personsources
The terms added to the classification scheme will appear in the synchronisation under the settings: Synchronisation view/field configuration > PERSON_IDs > Toggle common/specific configurations > Specific synchronisation fields:
