How Can We Help?
Automated Search - I've Rejected a Candidate, Can I Undo This?Automated Search - I've Rejected a Candidate, Can I Undo This?
What
The Automated search feature results in a list of potential candidates for import. These can either be imported or rejected.
If a user accidentally clicked the 'reject' button on a Research Output candidate, is it then possible to undo this rejection?
How
There are no options for undoing/withdrawing a single candidate rejection.
You can only withdraw all previous rejected candidates within a specific online source by resetting the history for rejected candidates.
This is done in the Person Editor > Automated Search > select Source > Reset History.
Example: A Person has set up Automated Search for import candidates in Scopus. If s/he press the Reset History button all previous rejected Scopus candidates for that one person will re-enter as potential candidates.
Another approach is, if you know the title or any other way identify the research output, you have rejected, you can just go search specifically for the research output using the 'import from online source' > Scopus feature, then import it that way.
Go to 'Add' button > Research Output > Import from online source > select Source > search for the research output, verify and import.
We recommend the user to go with the second approach of searching for this single record through the 'import from online source' option.
